In sports, unexpected outcomes can happen — from player injuries to ties on projections. Here's a breakdown of how Payday Fantasy handles TIES, DNPs (Did Not Play), and VOIDED Picks, and how they may affect your entries and payouts.
🟨 What Happens if a Player Ties Their Projection?
If a player finishes the game with a score that exactly matches their projection, it’s considered a TIE. In these cases, we don’t automatically void the entire entry. Instead, we apply a dynamic payout structure that recalculates your entry based on the remaining eligible legs.
When this happens:
Your entry is reduced by one leg.
The entry will automatically recalculate your payout dynamically based on the number of remaining eligible legs.
Tied legs are treated similarly to a DNP (Did Not Play). They reduce the number of active picks but don’t count as a win or a loss.
If too many legs are TIE, DNP, or VOIDED, and there aren’t enough eligible legs left to calculate a payout, your entry will be refunded.
❌ Why Was My Pick Marked as DNP (Did Not Play)?
A pick may be marked as DNP for the following reasons:
The player didn’t play at all — not even a single play.
Game cancellation or postponement — if the game was canceled or rescheduled.
Board error — if a projection was clearly incorrect (e.g., a QB listed with 25 TDs) or if a prop remained active after the game started.
System issues — glitches or manual mistakes could cause certain picks to be marked as DNP.
⚠️ Note: Payday Fantasy reserves the right to void or mark any projection as DNP at its sole discretion.
💸 How Do DNPs Affect My Entry and Payouts?
If a player in your entry is marked as DNP, your entry remains eligible but will be dynamically recalculated based on the remaining active picks.
We apply a dynamic payout structure that recalculates your entry based on the remaining eligible legs.
If too many legs are TIE, DNP, or VOIDED, and there aren’t enough eligible legs left to calculate a payout, your entry will be refunded.
⚠️ Special Case: Voided Picks Policy (Injuries)
In rare cases, a player pick may be voided due to an injury during gameplay under our Voided Picks Policy. This policy applies only to injuries and does not cover cases like players being benched or ejected for performance or disciplinary reasons.
🩼 Voided Picks apply only when a player is injured during the game (not benched or ejected). *Please note that each sport/league has its own rules for VOIDED Policy qualification*
📝 When a player’s pick is voided, all projections — including BOTH MORE and LESS picks, as well as any ALT lines — will be fully voided.
🛡️ This policy is designed to protect users against random injuries that are beyond the player or team’s control, not coaching decisions or performance-based events.
If too many legs are TIE, DNP, or VOIDED, and there aren’t enough eligible legs left to calculate a payout, your entry will be refunded.
General Rule for DNP, Ties, and Voided Picks in Your Entry
Any entry containing a DNP, TIE, or VOIDED pick will result in a reduction of the entry by one leg or a combination of legs, depending on the number of remaining eligible picks. The payout will be dynamically recalculated based on the remaining active picks.
A DNP or TIE will reduce the total number of picks in the entry, and the payout will be adjusted accordingly.
A VOIDED pick (due to injury) will also reduce the entry by one leg, and the payout will be recalculated based on the remaining active picks.
If there are not enough eligible picks left to complete the entry (e.g., a 2-Pick Entry with 1 DNP and 1 Tie), the entire entry will be voided and refunded.
The recalculation ensures that the remaining valid picks determine the final payout.
